By request, here are some pictures of Fry, from kitten to now.
Warning! LOTS of EXTREMELY CUTE pictures of cats follow.
When I brought him home from the shelter, he was a teeny, tiny little ball of personality. He was a "mutt" not that unusual in looks from any other of the myriad of orange tabbies, but his personality was distinctive even then of being friendly, people oriented, and mellow. He wa so friendly he was all over us, and we were so woried we would crush his tiny little body with our big feet.
Pretty cute and tiny in Ruth's arms and our medieval bucket; and the stuffed dog I got for him to play with was bigger than he was!
But soon we had premonitions of danger--- a mere month later for his checkup and booster shots, the vet said that he was super healthy but growing at twice the rate normal for kittens. We took a pic of him. . .
Bigger but not woried yet.
BUT, another month later. . . . .
As you can see, he grew pretty nicely the first three monthsand began to spill over anything he resided in. The oversized toy dog toy was now a mere 1/4 of his size.
We began to surmise that he had an usual breed in him. His growth, his unusual dog-like habits, his incredibly long fur, his personality all screamed that he had a good portion of Rag-Doll in him. He loves playing with water, wags his tail when happy, wants to interact with humans at all times, and is very non-aggressive BUT highly predatory/playful.
For example, He LOVES feet. If he likes you, he "hatches" your foot. He sits on whatever pleases him, be it a person or a toy. But he particularly loves Ruths feet.
And he is pretty darn limp too. Dignity is not really in this cats motivating factors. He will fall asleep in the wierdest of postions.
And here are pics from the new apartment, this month. I think the bookshelf is 2 feet wide.
Look at the length of that fur! We measured it-- its 3 inches long on his body! And softer than rabbit fur. And we had the softest rabbit in the world :) and yes, he DOES snore, quite loudly! But look at that smile!
And a pic when we first moved in, his first afternoon in the new apartment. As you can see, he didn't need much adaption to the new apartment. As long as we give him regular personal play time, he is quite happy and mellow.
And finally, a picture of his name-sake.
He is named after Philp. J. Fry of Futurama, because he is ginger, mellow, friendly, and not too bright.
