My First Homemade Icon

Ruth inspired me to try making an icon of my own.  Here it is :)

Generic but fun.  I might try one next with an alien and make it more goofy :)

I used a program for making logos; its very awkward but I think it may be worth fiddling with more more icons. I ended up making a three-layer planet of three spheres, with a overlay of semi-opaque green, and shadows, and text with faint yellow gradien toutlined in black, and then a yellow squiggle below for balance.

It wasn't quite the right size, so I dont have export/resizing down, but when LJ let me adapt it I tried making it non square to enhance the shape. I like it.

I will try importing my own graphics and see how that goes, and maybe try some nice glass-button style ones.

A prez who knows Vulcan hand gestures and plays with lightsabers. I'm so proud one of Our Own Kind got elected! I bet he has some polyhedral dice hiding in his closet too!
