Hi! You need to layout about 3 layers of wool, and you have to really work it to get it to felt properly. Making felt dreads is so easy compared to flat pieces! Basically once you've layed out your wool and wet it down, rub it for a while, then I roll it up in bubble wrap around a pole and roll it for about 100 times, then unroll and re-roll up from the other end, its hard work! Then I also throw the felt into a sink as hard as I can a few times, this helps to really shrink the wool which is what makes it strong. Then rinse in hot & cold water & spin dry in washing machine. That should do it! It should take you around 2 - 3 hours, any less and your probably not working it hard enough. Hope this helps!
