My high school guidance counselor came into the store today. It took me forever to recognize her, and I haven't seen her in going on 6 years now? And even then I only saw her when they made me so there's no way she would recognize me as one of her former students. No winter here yet - it's actually very sunny and warm today (sorry!)

Jobs don't define who we are, though we are certainly socialized to believe that it is capitalist work that gives us our identities. But it's what is inside that matters in the long run, not the jobs we do in order to be able to function and survive! I had lots of jobs I hated and were not proud of, but at least I was working and bringing in $$.

But look at you: you completed university, you have 2 jobs (during a recession when people have none or not enough work), a car (even if it is beast!), a place to live, with friends and family who care. I'm incredibly proud of what you have and are accomplishing!!!

But evil days when we question ourselves and our lives really SUCK!
