On the heels of my 40 favorite albums of the '00s list, here are what I consider my 40 favorite movies of the '00s. I guess I probably have pretty low-brow and mainstream taste in movies, but whatever; I like what I like. I don't consider myself much of a movie critic or even a huge fan of current cinema. Seems like a pretty good list. These resonate with me a lot more than your 40 favorite albums. (It's not that I don't like your albums - I've just never heard most of them.)

I tried to make my own Favorite Movies of the 00's, but realized after looking at lists of every movie released for each year that I couldn't come up with 40 movies that I even saw from this decade nor did I even like most of the movies I did see.

I've only seen five from your list; two that I loved (WALL*E and UP!) two that were okay (March of the Penguins and Revenge of the Sith) and one that I hated (Bowling for Columbine)

I stopped looking after 2005, but I think I saw more 00's movies in the last three or four years of the decade than I saw at the beginning so maybe I'll try again.

I would not say your taste in movies is all that mainstream - not with all that lefty, commie propaganda masquerading as documentaries! Hee. Apocalypto, huh? Do tell.
