I also experienced this strange new channel-finding last month, when we got a new TV. And the "102-7"-format channels that we get don't show up in any of the local listings, so we still haven't found NBC. Good luck with "Planet Earth"!

I'm back in New York (Western, unfortunately) for about six months until wedding/visas/paperwork are sorted out and I can return. The TV in question actually belongs to my parents.

I have a "Sceptre" too! Costco seems to have some ridiculously good deal with them, and it's actually a good TV. Well, except for the remote, which requires sniper precision. I hope Planet Earth is available in widescreen format, it's a shame when the sides of the screen get wasted.

I'm actually in dire need of a new TV. What are the measurements, so I can be sure it'll fit on my tv stand? If so, maybe you could bring it up in the car next time you drive to SF.

Width 20"
Height 18.5"
Depth (including outdated picture tube) 18"
Depth of bottom platform (part that rests on stand) 10.5"
Diagonal screen size 21"

It's in fine working condition and I can bring it to you if you want it. Which you know you do.

KONKA!
