Soup of the evening
I'll keep the spring theme going for a few more days: Mad March Hare - Cleaners From Venus
I watched the Al Gore's Senate Testimony on CSPAN last night for almost 3 hours. The soundbite that's getting all the media attention is Barbara Boxer's scolding of the monumentally stupid James Inhofe, but the whole thing was fascinating. Gore even gave a shout-out to Bill McKibben, who we saw at the Bookstore on Tuesday.
In that spirit, I'm going to try to do 10 things to clean up my life during my month of consecutive blogging (retroactive to March 12th and cumulating on April 14th, ). Here's where I am so far:
1. Get stainless steel travel mug and use it for to-go coffee and tea rather than using disposable cups. (Check.)
2. Switch car insurance from Nationwide to Progressive. (Check. And yeah, I know that the right thing to do would be to get rid of the car entirely, but I have to do these things in small increments.)
3. Replace broken DVD player with much smaller more efficient model. (Check. Out of necessity really, but it still counts.)
4. Pledge to give up CDs from 2007 onwards, both store-bought and home-burned. (Check, but wavering.)
6 more to go. If anyone wants to join me in this endeavor I will lend my full support.
