I can't believe you read Good Night Mister Tom! I read that in either 4th or 5th grade and it made me very sad. All I remember is the dead baby scene and that he had a friend who was a tap dancer.

Hey, if I want to be assured of reading 50 books in a year, a few of them are going to have to be kids books! I'm just not a fast reader.

no its cool. I just always thought that book was sort of obscure. My goal for 2005 is to actually read a fiction book. The last 3 years or so I just can't get into fiction, everything I pick up seems to be crap. Perhaps I should look over your list for something. I also read Stiff, strange book, but oddly compelling. Oh and I recommend that you read The Professor and the Madman. Its about the making of the Oxford English dictionary, very interesting all the freaky people involved, very British.

Oh yeah, I've heard about that one. And you know how I love anything British. I'll look for it next time I'm at the library.

I'm more of a non-fiction person myself as well.

goldenmoonbear was the one who introduced me to Mr. Tom. In fact, there was a TV version that we watched a few months ago. Either that or we got the video from the library, but I think it was on TV.
