Well, my knowledge of Japanese = non-existant, but I know that Merryweather (which is also commonly spelled "Merriweather" or "Meriwether") can be used as both a masculine and feminine name. Beyond that, I'm stumped. And I really want to know Cain's middle name too!

*gringrin* This icon gets so much love from people - it's really spoiled! ;) Oh, and it's from the Love Mode manga, should you care to investigate further.

wasn't one of the fairy godmothers in Sleeping Beauty called Merriweather?

I think someone suggested Cornwall a while ago. There were reasons -- I think it's mentioned that he lives Cornwall Something in the chapter Kaori Yuki said had a hint or something. Er. And it starts with a C. So.

As for the rest? I use Merryweather (Merry for short), Judith, and Rifael because I think they're the prettiest of the options. Accuracy is for the weak. :D

I would use Suzette, though, not Shuzette. No idea why she picked shi-u instead of su, unless maybe su would be slurred too much and sound wrong?

Yeah, that was my one guess. XD Cain Cornwall Hargreaves... not bad. I'm still thinking that perhaps it's not a name actually mentioned but something that's made reference to... *shrug*

*laughs* They are the prettiest.

Oh, I hadn't thought of Suzette. Could be. (... So confused @_@;;)

This is weird; I actually asked the middle name question a while back. I suggested "Cupcake", but I think Shati's right about "Cornwall", because he lived in Cornwall Castle. "Cupcake" could be his middle name if he were in prison ( ... )

... Cain Cupcake Hargreaves... *dies* And good strategy for Cain's infamous cousin ^^ As said above, Cornwall was all I could think of too XD I suppose it works ( ... )

... Does Cassian have a full name?

You've got a good point about "Raffit".

I'd go with "Ay-da". I like that pronounciation better, anyway, and ee-da just is as...menacing. It's got a much harder sound that fits with the character.

I'm glad you think it's Cassian too. A few sites I've been to say "Cashian", which sounds like a peanut. That may be appropriate, but it's terrible.

I can't decide on Dominique's last name. A French site called "Poison" writes it "Clehadol", and I'd figure they'd know best, but they also say Cassian is "Kashan".

Hi, this is a long time lurker ^^

There seems to be a common consensus that meri-wueza = Merryweather in all the websites I've visited, I'd go with Merryweather, although I have very little knowledge of Victorian surnames.

I've always thought Rifu = Lief and not Riff (Riff sounds terribly like a dog's name to me). Liefael... may look a it weird, but 'Rifael' could be misprononced as 'rye-fael'.

As for Dominique's surname, I've tried to Google for a surname that fits the romanization, but couldn't find any. My best bet would be 'Claihadorr' or 'Crayhadorr'...

[/shameless rambling]

Hallo ^^

Mariiuezaa, actually. Meeriuezaa would make more sense, ne? ^^; But I don't suppose it's intended to be Marieweather... And yes, sites say one thing, but the manga says another ^^;

I'd agree with you but for that Dominique is French. His name is awful to romanize, though XD;

Again, his name is printed 'Riff' on all sorts of merchandise. ^^; Also, if you listen to the drama tracks, Cain's seiyuu is pretty decent at saying it 'Riff'. Also Lief is a very un-English name... Riff may not be a name, but it does sound English. XD (Liefael could be ly-fael.)

And really, isn't it rather appropriate to have Cain-sama's dear servant sound a bit like a pet? ^_~
