For Kokomo, it was old age. I don't know about the other one, though. He just randomly became unresponsive and pale, then died a few hours later. I tested the water parameters and nothing funky came up. He didn't show any signs of illness before that, so I have no idea what happened.

I'm sorry. Almost all of my bettas have died. I think the one I have now is in the process of dying as well. It is a very sad occasion. :(

I'm sorry about yours, too. :( It really is sad, especially since I get so attached to them.
