I think most people just want to see an actual body-swapping episode for real. This fandom has been wanting a body-swapping episode for a long, long time, and will speculate anything fitting to that criteria even if it's incredibly vague.
But mostly, I think such speculation isn't all that bad. From the body-sharing of Castiel inside of Dean to this, it's just some people wanting to come up with interesting concepts. Believe me, sometimes those concepts are a whole lot better and interesting than what really happens. So I can't fault anyone for thinking outside the box a little. So I understand where it all comes from. It's just a need to try and figure things out, even if it sounds absolutely ridiculous and perhaps not exactly what might happen, but it's all in good hopeful fannish fun. ;)
Anyway, I mostly think the spoiler is talking about Castiel just extending his mind-reading abilities to others. That's how I read it as, and that's what I think will be happening.
