Costume prop assistance needed: LotS

 My friends are planning to cosplay Richard and MordSith!Kahlan from Legend of the Seeker (for Dragon*Con), as shown in the picture I have included below the cut.  They are looking for help with the collar and chain.  Anyone here have any ideas?  Thanks!

They could search the internet for bondage neck collars/slave collars. If the chain isn't heavy duty enough on it swap out the chain. May have to shoe polish or otherwise dye it if they can't find that grungy brown.

Another possibility is to hinge a section of PCV wide pipe and get some plastic chain and spray paint.

Bike chain, tarnished in salt water for as long as you can let it soak.

Check out the plumbing area of Home Depot or your local home building store. They usually have big metal couplers that would work great.
