Yay double heart shots - one each, I love the symmetry! Great job on fitting in all the back story without tons of exposition - their long relationship, Jared's parents (the wrecked car gradually being overgrown with wild flowers was a beautiful and poignant image), their history in the job - all so neatly done I had the picture in my head completely painlessly.

And the characterisation was awesome - I have a real soft spot for grumpy, lethally competent Jensen, and then you threw in dangerous and competent Jared too - icing on the cake.

My only quibble with this fic is that it isn't 70k instead of 7 because this is so well written, hits all my buttons so well it makes me hungry for more.

What a perfect gift - thank you so much! I totally love it.

Yay! I did want to make it longer but time got away from me. Perhaps I can revisit it at some point. There's a lot that was not written.
