great to hear, dude. i didn't buy anything (put the syn ep online!), but i sent the link around to some friends, the few who i hadn't already exposed to you, anyway, so i did my part. :)
Wow, I never thought Cosmicity would be able to work out their issues and be able to record again. I'm amazed that you don't need to bring a security guard in to keep the peace in the studio. Probably one of the more spectacular bustups in music history. The Maury Povich Show's got nothin' on that drama...
Glad to hear that the Free EP was a hit. Do you have people's email addresses from that? If so, you could do something fun life "software updates" where you give them new tracks, song clips, previews, etc. "This update provides critical updates to keep boredom and suckitude from taking over your hard drive."
Yeah, Cosmicity was a mess so who knows what'll happen if they seriously reunite in the studio but, hey, anything's possible these days. They probably blew through their money on heroin and whores and they need to tour to keep their habbit going.
As for "The Free EP", nah... I thought about collecting e-mail addresses, but then I thought, if it was me, I wouldn't download it if I had to give my e-mail address. I hate that. So I didn't do it.
That's a very good idea for getting people signed up on the mailing list once I start working on the new album, though. If you sign up, you get the monthly previews, and if you don't, you get nothin'! :-)
Congratulations!

Wow. I'm very pleasantly surprised! I didn't think many people would download it because usually, free=crap. Please keep us posted as it continues to snowball. I bet you'll see a lot of new fans on iLike, and of course you won't know about iTunes downloads for awhile.

I wasn't too sure that many people would download it either, 'cause I figured the people who were curious what "that guy from Cosmicity" was up to had already checked it out one way or another at this point. Pleasantly surprised to be wrong about that.

Glad the promotion went over! It's amazing what one can do on their own.
