My heart breaks for all of them. This fic reads very true to life. I had to read Beautiful Boy for my Biology of Addictive Drugs class and learned about addiction and the way it affects not just the addict but the addict's family and how hard they have it, trying to help, enabling or denying, pushed back and forth between tough love and just desperately wanting him/her to be clean and the way he/she used to be. Amazing start to your fic/'verse.

Great start! I love AUs, especially ones that are sort of canon compliant! This is a really believable alternative, non-supernatural history for the Winchesters and I'm looking forward to the next chapter! :)

Oh, God...the way you wove the show into the AU is so awesome, and I love what you did with Sam's story. And I love this whole thing. And I'm gonna go cry in a corner now, because Sam's withdrawal is just heartbreaking. Because its Sam, so he would have been giving it his all and to have that taken away from him completely on accident...yeah. Imma go cry.

Chapter was awesome, though, and I can't wait for more!!!
