One of the things I want to continue in this 'verse is what hurts once...being hurt, or watching someone you love being hurt. This installment is meant to build on that. Thx for reviewing! <3

I love this 'verse. And I especially love the way you've got a non-linear narrative, going back and forth in time, filling in back story here and there so that we're always learning just a little bit more and getting a little more of the bigger picture. Thank you for sharing this with us! I am always so happy when I see that there is more from you! :)

It was always my intention to make this 'verse as in character as possible. It's been great fun to find reasons/places/roles for the characters outside of canon, although I am a die-hard canon gal!!!
Thank you, as always, for your kind, consistent, insightful reviews!!! They make me want to keep working!!! <3

This sets up their characters for the main story perfectly. Sam's fear of abandonment is already so developed that the loss of even one person would affect his stability. It's scary and sad because, even though Dean's attitude/behaviour is typical, so much of what happens later could have been averted if he'd just allowed Jim to get him and Sam professional help. =\
