Pretty much this, yes. Wtf superpowers, wtf sniffing, major jealousy issues, awww pout. XD But I'm majorly psyched now because of the Time War flashbacks we're gonna get.
Btw, the spiky green people did say the Master restricted the template to humans. Wilf was shielded and Donna is apparently still Time Lord enough to be safe. XD
If Gallifrey was wiped from all of time, how can it still have existed in the past and be constantly referred to?
Before the S4 finale, I would have said "metatime." But RTD's brain can't handle stuff like that apparently, so the answer is that it was never wiped out of time, it was "time locked" (which seems to be a magical force-field of some vague sort). This of course destroyed every interesting idea the fans had come up with.
Strangely enough, I am also disappointed at the lack of dark!Ten. And usually I find dark!Ten annoying. We could have used him here, though.
