UCD has officially accepted me to study abroad in the Netherlands next fall! I just have to receive my packet from the UCSB office, and then I start planning

yeah I got an envelope from UCD saying that they accepted me and have forwarded the info to UCSB and then to my host university in Utrecht. Please be my tour guide, I would love that! I'm going for a semester, and I have to get there by August 6 and then I'll come back right before Christmas. Since you're staying for a year do you stay in France for Christmas?

i have orientation in Paris on august 20th, then after a few days we move to our host university for the intensive language program...i'll hopefully be in Lyon, which is just a couple of hours south of paris and fairly close to the italian border. and yeah, i'm pretty sure i'm going to stay there the entire year.. my parents and brother are planning on coming out for christmas, methinks.

also, i just found out that a guy i know is studying in maastricht.. i wonder if that's close to you?

maastricht is close because its in the netherlands which is pretty much the tiniest country ever, but its the farthest south of all the host schools there and is closest to the german border
i hope you can show me around lyon! (which just happens to be my mom's maiden name.. haha!)
