Did anyone else have to think of Twilight after watching "A Good Man Goes To War"?

After knowing that River is Amy's daughter and knowing that she and the doctor would fall in love one day, I couldn't help but think of Bella Swan, who's best friend Jacob fell in love with her baby! xD

I only read the first book and never saw the movies so I didn't get that.
I don't think it's that big of deal that people get comparisons from other films or books though.
Someone has always done it before, it's how you make the story unique and stand out on it's own.

I still maintain that I can't understand how Stephenie Meyer has a career. I have a BA in English (focus in Creative Writing), and I assure you, if I wrote like her, I wouldn't have graduated!!

But, then again, this is the same world where Snooki can (allegedly) write a book and it becomes a bestseller.

The comparison is a bit out there for sure. But I can't help but giggle at the thought that the Moff is a secret twihard and is making references to it in the show.

Yeah, the comparison seems to work on the surface, but I think it's bollocks beyond that. After all, the Doctor never seriously pursued Amy romantically, he did just the opposite. And he met River Song as an adult before he knew the context of her family, so it's less "he got involved with his friend's child" and more like falling for someone then finding out they have a weird connection to one of your old friends.
