Cory wasn't sure if Kirill was home or not. Hell he didn't care. He was bored and Kirill had captured his fascination as of late. Finding himself smirking as he thought of the man where ever he was at. In the shower, watching TV, grocery shopping, blowing some stuff up... yeah was a fascination alright

Kirill's just gotten out of the shower when he hears the alarms go off. Then a crash and a curse. Nothing like old fashioned back-up for new-fangled tech. Wrapping a towel around his waist, he grabs his gun and heads out of the bath to see who's broken into his apartment.

When he sees Cory caught in the net, he stops and snickers. "Ooops?"

"Okay." Kirill lifts his hand to run curious fingers along Cory's neck. "Different like Aeon?" He thought about it some more. "Kasparov? Tyler Creed? Buffy? How different?"

Kirill tightens his fingers, briefly cutting off Cory's air. Losening his grip, he strokes the spot again. "Grandparents fought with him in Stalingrad."

Cory drew in a deep breath once that grip was loosened. "Yeah? I met him early in my life. He sort of helped me find a direction."

"May I ask story?" Kirill's voice is low and soft.

There's no pressure behind his words, just mild curiousity. For so many years, he thought he'd be dead by thirty, that the idea of someone living a long life, well, everyone was likely to live a longer life that he was.
