Origami Park

I dreamed of a Chinese park where people leave origami on the ground or in trees for others to encounter and appreciate; I had been seeding my four-petal paper lotuses, and particularly liked the way the metallic foil ones gleamed at night when you caught them with a flashlight. I love that idea! And people could write messages on the paper they fold, if they wanted to.

Imagine if origami was the admission one paid to get into such a park--you must give of yourself to receive/enjoy what others have given.

Such a nifty dream.

There's a statue of Sadako in Seattle that usually has a garland of a thousand paper cranes draped on it. Not the same one, since it's been in good shape every time I've seen it.
