I'm impressed. I have yet to find a fava bean recipe I am totally happy with.

I think that the bean turned out to be..some what optional. You could probably use a smaller bean, or even a cooked whole grain and get the same affect, or something you like better.

I was going ot make this recipe but John didn't think it was medieval enough because he is now an expert:
