Oh, m'dear, this is stunning. Your writing is just gorgeous. These small snippets of scenes are so simple, but you convey so much emotion and there's a lovely imagery to these. I love the gradual evolution and, honestly, if I was to quote my favourite parts, it would fill up the page.
However:
(Chasing demons ends up being easier than facing her own.)
I adored that line.
