Did you ever see the "Adventures of Jules Verne" tv show? where the lady hero had all manner of awesome steampunk clothes? like a hoop/bustle dress where she unhooked a buckle on it and walked out of it... leaving it standing self supporting behind her so that she could beat someone up wearing pants?
