Hi I found this site by accident at work and couldn't wait to get home to try it. It's great to see so many people who all love to make corsets!!! I look forward to many hours of not sewing as I sit here glued to the postings

Don't know if you realized this or not, but you made this post in your personal journal. You will get better response by posting in corsetmakers.

As for me, I use 5/8" ribbon for my lacing, and I know many others do as well. It is wide enough to give good lacing support, and it flows through the grommets fairly easily. Anything smaller will be too weak, and anything larger will be too difficult to lace.
