Wow! Sounds like so much fun! I just finished my last final today and I am SO excited to read the new books I have waiting at my parent's house. Enjoy your quasi-academia -- Finding Serenity is *great*. If I could only concentrate on television and pop-culture based criticism I may well have pursued a PhD. ;-)

Yay for being done! Hmm... I wonder if there are programs that will let you do that... (concentrat on pop culture criticism, that is...) They must be out there somewhere...

I think there are...you'd be looking for a media studies program. I know Susan J. Douglas did that, although I'm not sure if it was up to the level of PhD. Media studies: actually much more relevant than people realize.
