We had our annual Christmas party/gift exchange last night, which ended up being very fun and worth all of the preparation we did. We ended up getting our tree and decorating it all on Saturday. Wow! Sounds like so much fun! I just finished my last final today and I am SO excited to read the new books I have waiting at my parent's house. Enjoy your quasi-academia -- Finding Serenity is *great*. If I could only concentrate on television and pop-culture based criticism I may well have pursued a PhD. ;-)

Yay for being done! Hmm... I wonder if there are programs that will let you do that... (concentrat on pop culture criticism, that is...) They must be out there somewhere...

I think there are...you'd be looking for a media studies program. I know Susan J. Douglas did that, although I'm not sure if it was up to the level of PhD. Media studies: actually much more relevant than people realize.
