My rant of the day: do not like canvassers or political people shoving things under my door or banging on it.  I live in an apartment with a locked lobby / buzzer system, so when someone gets it, I question the whole concept of being secure

By law, canvassers have to be let in during the election period, so it's entirely possible your building management let them in when they identified themselves, and they didn't sneak in.

(But I seen people enter apartment buildings all the time tailgating on others, so I've never found buzzer systems particularly secure.)

If they weren't so damn persistent, I wouldn't mind so much. But after 5 minutes, I was seriously considering calling through the door and asking them to please leave. Cats did not like.
