Do you have to take thermodynamics? Wait till you learn about entropy. Its supposedly a measure of chaos. How if you take a bowl of black marbles and a bowl of white marbles, mix them, then pour them in the two bowls, you'll virtually always have a mixture of white and black in both bowls afterwords and unless you put energy into the system to separate them, they will tend toward chaos.

They say that that (and everything else in the universe) tends toward 'chaos'.... but in my opinion... isn't that tending toward balance? Those marbles never being separated again by their own nature.... isn't that having everything balanced, not in chaos? Chaos, is having everything unnaturally separated...

I don't know, i just remember sitting in thermo thinking how strange it was that they used the word chaos to describe entropy when in my opinion its really a tendency toward balance which to my way of thinking is the opposite of chaos....

Precisely. It follows the same basic random spray theory that anonymous posters use to determine how much spooge has hit areas on their face after going down on their hermaphrodite mothers.
