Sounds grand! Have you read Cheryl Strayed's book Wild? Came out last year, I think. It's her memoir of hiking the PCT alone-- though she was vastly less prepared, in terms of both physical ability and wilderness skills, than you would be. But it might be an interesting account to check out.

I was just going to say, have you read Wild? But rhiannon beat me to it. I just finished it -- and it made me want to hike the PCT too. You'll have to keep us posted!

Also, buy big-enough boots.
