Double-check to make sure the new graphics card is firmly seated in its port.

Try a different monitor?
Make sure the monitor is on.
Reseat the video card. Try a different card slot.
Do you get any type of post after turning the computer on? (If not, how do you expect to see the BIOS?)
Can you take the card out and get the integrated video to work? (and was that what you were using earlier?)

Aye, tried those.
I'm thinking the bios isn't recognising it,
or maybe it is only sending on dvi.
The road goes ever on.

BTW - I see Unhallowed Metropolis revised is on the way.
I'll certainly be grabbing a copy at Gen-Con, will you be there?

I will not be at GenCon this year. I spent all my vacation time going to Wave-Gothic-Treffen in Germany this year.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Sorry, I couldn't resist. But really, rebooting is worth trying if you haven't already.

When you install the drivers shouldn't matter, as long as they're associated with the hardware.

What brand of computer is it? XP/Vista/7? With some more detail I might be able to help you work around the BIOS problem.

What marc17 said, too. Especially the last bit. Also, how it fails would be useful. How far does it get before the video fails? Or do you not get anything from the get-go?

Yup, someone had to say it! :-)

I get nothing from the get go, and taking otu the card puts me back to all working fine.
I'm now down to it must be hardware oddity as I get nothing from bios onward.
So at least it isn't an odd windows software clash (well, not yet anyway).
It might only be sending on the dvi port so fingers crossed now I have an adaptor.

Luckily I have found a way into the bios, but I'm only guessing as I can't run the bios with the card in!
DVI, you are my last hope!
