Before Jack could say anything else, before he could vent his anger and give it to Ennis straight he felt Ennis’ lips soft and tender on the middle of his forehead. And it was as if this kiss expressed all the things that Ennis couldn’t say, didn’t dare say. This kiss seemed to quietly whisper it all straight to Jack's heart.
