I'm hooked! I love the way you included so many interesting things from the manga. Roy's tattoo is interesting, and I'd like to hear more about his healing abilities. Is that really his sister? Because the thought of Al dating her is very amusing. I'm happy to see Havoc healing, too.

The scenario of Mustang's trial and death sentence (were they going to hang him?) reminded me of how the French revolution turned tail and devoured the original revolutionaries. It was chilling, even though I figured something else must be going on.

I'd love to read more - and hope you include Olivia.

thanks. Yeah had to give Roy a tatt to cover his array scar and when I got vol #10 I was reminded of two things a) Roy said healing alchemy wasn't his strong suit but Lust's stone would augment his skill which meant he DID know it b) he was studying the spine later obviously to help Havoc

I think they were going to shoot him but the French revolution was what I had in mind and what Riza had told Ed. I've been planning something like this ever since she hinted that Roy would be put to death if their side won

I was mad as a mofo when Riza pulled the trigger. Twice. Seriously. And it takes very good writing to make me feel so much emotion while reading a fic for the first time. But golly I was mad. I was like NO WAI, they can't end up like that! NO F*ING WAI.
And Al tipped off that something wasn't right. And then Knox was the doc and things clicked.
Then I was just really really happy. ^^ Like a hippo.
You have really great storytelling skills. Me loves your Al and your Ed/Win interaction just rocks. I hope there will be more. I'm a bit confused with the new identities and stuff, but I reckon I'll get used to them real fast. :D

well welcome aboard (if you're curious about anything else I might have written i just did a year in review post) Yeah I was expecting a bigger reaction than I got in general to Riza's actions.

I figure the new names might throw people but hey when you reinvent yourself that's part and parcel I'm afraid. I hope to get ch 3 written soon

Yess. I have read some of your other fics before but pussied out of reviewing because most of the time I have nothing to say except : YAY! GOODFIC! MOREMOREMOREelevenses...which, I have discovered, pisses most authors off. ^^;;;

I was really happy to find out that Riza was deliberately out of character, and the names... well I guess I will get used to it fairly quickly.

I'm not even that sure Riza was deliberately out of character. She promised to kill Roy if he got out of line. I think she might be more than willing to put him out of his misery rather than face the public execution she hinted at to Ed. I'm hoping we do NOT find out in the manga

I love the story! It's great! And such a clever way to imagine the possible ending. In fact, this is certainly one of the best: it would fit with the characters and the global plot!
I love the fact that you take profit of the fact that Mustang certainly has Xinese blood running in his veins. I guess they're here to celebrate Roy's and Riza's recent marriage?!
I also love the fact that they're all becoming a big family. But where is Mei chan?

I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I admit chapter one was a little scarey which is probably why i put one and two together (now to get three done)

Soooo the whole time I was kind of thinking "I really can't picture Riza killing herself, even if it is totally justified in this story..." (well, I was sort of thinking that, you know, amidst all the SQUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! 's in my head at every other part of the fic), and then that second chapter just blew me away! Wow... I love surprises, and it really takes a clever author to effectively surprise people, which you most definitely did

i'm so glad you're enjoying this. That first chapter as you can imagine made me very nervous and I'm glad you like all the little details (I thank my beta for pushing me on those and hey I love the scent of pines myself)

as for Xue-Li poor thing, study pear? I honestly have no idea what it means beyond what babynology.com tells me (pure as snow). Chinese (either main dialect) is definitely not my language

Ohhhh pure as snow... well that sounds much more meaningful and makes more sense now doesn't it? :-P Haha I'm just crazy then... in Chinese the inflexes/tones of the words are what matter, so xue by itself can mean to study or snow, just as li can mean pear, leave, without, salute, gift, inside, reason, strength, sharp, beautiful... and like a million other things. Sigh. Stupid homonyms.
