As far as I know there isn’t going to be another season of Kanes show, but they could change that. I know the station dropped it.

I did not know that but I'm not too surprised it wasn't that great even without factoring in the white savior trope (kai was written so erratically it wasn't even funny)

I think that show will be a case of fic being better than canon, but I haven't really delved into the show.

Death in Paradise is a favorite series of ours. Despite the death rate (which rivals Cabot Cove when Jessica Fletcher is home), it is generally much more lighthearted than many other mystery shows. It would be fun, though, to shake things up with a DI who is either female, non-white or both. Still English, for the "newcomer to the island" perspective. I can imagine Catherine saying "It's about time we had a woman in charge!" lol
