The door desk is an interesting feature. It reminds me of Chantilly's bathroom stall white boards, but with a more refined edge :-).

So I said to myself, "Self, how do I post to this blog?" And then I found the answer was to set up my own account and communicate that way.

I have caught up on your entries since arriving in Seattle and find them very interesting, particularly the one about the marvelous machine. I don't think I ever did find a solution like it. I got about as far as a pourer and a shot glass; then figured what the hell, measure with two fingers in a glass and go with that. Quite wicked sometimes.

Grandma and I are considering a visit to your locale and would like your feedback on your availability, how long you could tolerate us, and what we might expect to see and do.

Hey Grandpa! Wow, that's awesome that you signed up for an LJ :D! Just think - not only can you comment on *my* blog, but now you can make posts on your own! You can write about all those interesting trips you take, books you read, articles that get you thinking, etc etc. It's a lot of fun ;)

Anyway, I'm pretty much available whenever. Of course, weekends would be better. I could probly tolerate you for a weekend ;). There's lots and lots to see and do around here, like city tours, museums, awesome restaurants, etc. It all depends on what you're interested in. I'm leaving the city around 8/10-ish or so, so anytime before then would be fine. Let me know what you wanna do.
