So here's my first official philosophy paper, if anyone cares to read it (I thought it was really interesting...):

In the first of his Meditations on First Philosophy, Descartes proposes the skeptical scenario of the Evil Genius. He does this in an effort to purge from his mind all possibly ill-formed thoughts and unsound conclusions; he states
