Economic liberal is someone who believes in more equality between the rich in poor and more social programs. They'll tax the rich more for more funding for public education, welfare, etc.

Social liberal is someone who believes people should be able to do what they want in their personal lives and that the government should stay out of it (anti-censorship, okay with porn, believe in a separation of church and state).
