As I mentioned in the introduction post (
HERE), I've decided to keep track of the correct answers for the characters from the iPod's otome game "Shall we date?: Heian Love" since I haven't been able to find a guide on the net. This post will be the walkthrough solution for Masakuni Sugawara
I don't know about how I feel about Masakuni being a love interest for me. On the one hand, he's my widowed uncle who's much older than me and is emotionally distraught due to the loss of his wife. On the other hand, he's financially stable and does have experience in love, so he'll be able to treat you with love. I think I'm leaning more on the negative side for Masakuni because somewhere deep down in me, it will always feel like he's comparing me to his former wife or that he'll never truly love me because there's still some lingering emotion for my aunt left in him...
Due to my neutrality towards Masakuni,
sillywritergall helped me to get the responses for the happiest ending.

His letters to you (which are sent to your mailbox by the end of the chapter) are as followed:
These are the five endings that you can get with Masakuni which are happiest ending, happier ending, happy ending, normal ending, and unhappy ending. Pictures are shown from happiest ending to unhappy ending order:
In the happiest ending, Masakuni is in very high spirits and was able to avoid injury thanks to the gift that you gave him. Emperor Kuze promotes him to be General of the Imperial Guard. Masakuni asks Emperor Kuze to release you from your services since you`re more important (he'd rather have you released from your services than get promoted). Emperor Kuze agrees by recognizing your marriage and hopes that the two of you will be happy together. Masakuni will write you poems and you will play him the koto. You resign as a lady of the court and become Masakuni's wife, Mikage never lets you hear the end of it, but it's all behind you now. You live happily in that estate by the lake. You know that Masakuni loved his former wife (your aunt) dearly, and you're glad that you can take her place. During the war, Masakuni explains that he met his former wife in a dream where she forgives him for loving you and gives her blessing to the both of you. You tell him that you're carrying his child, and Masakuni is ecstatic to hear the news since he half gave up becoming a father.
Happier ending, Masakuni and you are a couple. You don't want to marry him as respect for his late wife nor do you want to move in Masakuni because you don't want to take your aunt's place. Masakuni explains that he doesn't want to cling to what he lost, but enjoy what he has. On your wedding day, Mikage is not present because he's trying to find out whether you're pregnant with a boy or a girl by divination.
Happy ending, Masakuni wants to live with you but can't put you in his wife's place. So you become his concubine, as long as he loves you, you don't mind. Apparently, you love him for the face that he'll never forget the love of your aunt. He'll always leave a place aside for your aunt. Sometimes you feel jealous, but you know it's all right.
Normal ending, Masakuni sewed a gift from his late wife into his armour so that spear that struck him didn't hurt him. Masakuni realizes that his wife was always protecting him and in his loneliness, he saw his late wife in you. He informs you that he still loves his wife greatly and cannot continue on with having a romantic relationship with you and hopes he can make you happy as nothing more than as an uncle. Time has passed and he asks you if you've found anyone that you like, and you reply that you haven't found anyone, but if he knows any, to introduce them to you.
Unhappy ending, the imperial guards win the battle against the Hojo rebels. Masakuni died and ended the war in a glorious fight with the Hojo leader, but his injuries were too deep and there was nothing they could do. Hinata is afraid that you'll follow him and die too. You'll revere his spirit as a nun, as does Hinata. You join the temple where Masakuni's tomb is and dedicate your life to other people.
Depending on the answers you give to Masakuni, you'll get one of the endings aforementioned. If you chose all the correct answers, you'll get the happiest ending. If you choose all the incorrect ones, you'll get the unhappy ending. All the other endings vary on how many correct and incorrect ones you give.
In order to get the happiest ending with Masakuni, you must select these answers (with some slight variation):
