In case you haven't read it, some fucknut from AIG went all self-righteous about the outrage over his $1.2 million dollar bonus. Yes, that's right, his $1.2 million dollar bonus. Now, similar to one of my favourite bloggers, the Rude Pundit, I didn't have a problem with AIG paying out contractually-obligated compensation to their employees.

"All who affirm the use of violence admit it is only a means to achieve justice and peace. But peace and justice are nonviolence...the final end of history. Those who abandon nonviolence have no sense of history. Rather they are bypassing history, freezing history, betraying history." Andre Trocme

Personally I think this is a natural reaction to the "let them eat cake" attitude that so many in ruling classes have. Yes, totally uncivilised, and uncalled for. But when you're about to have your home taken away from you, you are given to asking "what IS civilisation?"
Another source of anger for many people is that those who live by the sword, and saw many other people die by it, are unwilling to die by it themselves.

or think they should get a bonus for doing a bad job
and causes a company to fail and has to be bailed out
buy hard working tax payers would even want to show
his or her face and cry over a grossly over paid $1.2
million bonus. I as a C.E.O of a company would refuse
to pay $1.00 for a worker who did a bad job and cause
my company to fail and have to be bailed out by the
tax payers. So since I bailed them out where do I sign
up for my CUT. I never payed my workers for a bad job
and I don't see why I should start now.

AIG guy will never read this, and it wouldn't do anything besides make him feel even more confident that he's the superior being if he did. I just don't think you can beat these guys. They're too deluded with their own importance, too blind to see that everything they do is motivated only by self-interest even when they say or believe it isn't, and too far gone from our reality to ever perceive what we think as anything but nonsense. Funny how that last part works both ways. Calling people names (or damning them!) will never help to bridge that gap in perspectives.

As for AIG guy reading it, who gives a fuck what he does, thinks, or believes? He's a fucktard and a whinger. :)
