You almost had me crying and then... then there is hope, but still a little bitterness... I hope they can be happy. Thank you !

Oh, I think they'll be happy in the long run, though to be sure there are still a lot of bad things coming their way. But hopefully Merlin's learned that vital lesson that they have much more hope together than apart! Thanks so much for reading and commenting! :-D

I've just had the time to read this, now, and I really love it. I got so scared there for a minute, but thank god for second chances! ♥

Clever. Very clever. I loved the intro to Merlin's ability and how Gaius inhibited it with his lecture. I loved the hint that Arthur was the insider, instrumental in bringing his father down. And I loved that when Merlin had proof that the need was great enough, he re-found his ability and managed to put things right. But I especially love that his previous life began to fade, leaving only the determination to act. And this time they'd do it together. No one should have to live with all the details of two lifetimes in their heads.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the story. And yes, having the details of two lives would be a bit much for anyone to deal with, though I suspect that Merlin will remember enough of what it was like to be without Arthur to keep him determined to make the most of his second chance.
