I have been so bad about this thing lately. Well, a quick update: I got a job in San Antonio! I will be teaching at O'Connor high school with the Northside District. I couldn't be happier with this position, but it is going to be making my move very difficult. I will be in San Antonio from the 10-28 of July for training, and I am moving from ( Read more... )

Congrats on getting the job, Northside is a great place to work. I worked there last year and after getting married I am moving to Houston and will be working in The Woodlands. I know Aaron Westbrook worked at O'Connor last year and I believe he is staying, so there will be a familar face. If you need help finding an apartment I can give you ideas of good places to live. One suggestion: Don't teach in the zone in which you teach. If you teach in O'Connor live close enought to drive but not so close that you see your kids at the grocery store. Let me know if I can help out, I love my apartment and area but it is a little far about 20 minute drive from O'Connor. Good Luck with packing that is what I am in the process of procrastinating.

Thanks Katy! I am actually looking in the Blanco/1604 area. I have friends that live there, and I like it in that are. Congratulations on the marriage, I am happy for you and Shaun. I didn't know westbrook was working there, I will have to look him up. I hope you like Houston better than I did! Good luck packing; I really do think it is one of the worst things in the world.

Katy beat me to it, but Aaron is there and planning on staying. He needs someone to check in on him. ;)

Congratulations!

I looked on the directory for the school, but Aaron's name wasn't on there. They might not have updated it or something. I am excited to have someone as good as Aaron that can help me get a feel of the school and district. :)
