I love rereading Harry Potter. I did my most recent one after the Half-Blood Prince movie came out and it's insane the stuff you catch the second or third time now that you know how everything turns out.

I'm so glad you gave Doctor Who a shot! I usually have a difficult time getting people to watch this show because it's a bit silly and campy, but it's a lot of fun to watch and this series is shaping up to be great so far. You're lucky you're jumping in now, because this is almost essentially another reboot of the series. If you ever get the chance, though, you should check out the first four series + last year's specials (with Nine and Ten). Each series is only 13 episodes, so it's a lot easier to catch up with.
