Enjoyed reading this -loved the alphabet Sawyer was using. This could have been really sugary but you've contrasted the realitites of the life on the island with the general everyday of family so well that it resonated with me.

Something about the irony - a bookworm without books - makes Sawyer wish harder than ever for rescue.
This line was the killer for me. Sawyer wishing for rescue for someone else and the sheer torture for Aaron, with a thirst for kowledge that may never be satisfied or only lived through the eyes of the other survivors.
