As I mentioned before here but a lot of people doesn't seem to know: Geocities is closing, the sites will get deleted. Dampersnspoons posted here how to move or back up the site.
ETA - stultiloquentia pointed to OTW's Open Doors project, which is offering sanctuary.
And please, don't forget http://www.archive.org/web/web.php (Wayback machine). If you search the Geocities sites there and and don't already have it, they will find it on the next crawl.

Please check the sites yourself (maybe they are only having stories posted elsewhere already); some are personal sites = one author stories, some archives. And some are already gone now, still saw them several weeks ago:
