Superb.
Such a happy film yet so sad. It was just... beautiful.
So touching. Another film to add to my list of "films that not only make me incredibly happy but also make me shed quite a few tears".
David Kross was so adorable and Kate Winslet so thoroughly deserved that Oscar. Such a beautiful performance. Sympathetic and engaging.. the type of role that could be so unsympathetic and confusing if played by a less experienced actress, but Kate played her beautifully and it was both wonderful and heartbreaking to watch.
And Ralph Fiennes was fantastic as usual.
So completely recommend this film.
P.S. Tell me how to make this kind of post non-pretentious-sounding and I'll gladly take your advice. For now however, have this brief but honest "review" as I really loved the film and wanted to share.
P.P.S. Would also appreciate advice on how to not sound like a Sassy McBitter Sass-Sass when doing P.S.'s.
P.P.P.S. I may or may not be adding these P.S.'s in 2012 after watching War Horse and linking this post and realising that I am way too self-conscious for my own good.
