I'm mentally undressing Scott Bakula right now. That's a start, isn't it? (btvs 7:14)

Did I just pick that quote because it has Xander wanting to be gay? Yep! I'm all jittery right now because I have a performance review at my work in half an hour. So because I can't concentrate on work, I thought I'd reflect on the TV I've watched this week so far ( Read more... )

I just adore HIMYM!! It has good writing, funny situations, and a great cast. Oh! That's a great episode! Robin and Barney have such a fun dynamic, I wish they'd pair them up more often (not romantically).

I agree with all your comments on house. :-) Though the thing with the young girl hitting on House just amuses me. LOL.

Isn't Joel Grey *always* creepy? I just keep remembering him in Buffy and shivering. :-)

I did like that the young girl hitting on House was played a bit humourously. I just found it too unrealistic, not that I think TV should be or is realistic, but in this case I didn't really buy it.

Joel Grey does always seem to be creepy! The funny thing is, he has a huge body of work and - I believe - an Academy Award, yet I always associate him with Doc on Buffy.

I realized on my way home today that I had totally forgotten about The Amazing Race. You are absolutely right about them having the right amount of diversity this season. I was rooting for the Indian-american couple too. But so far no one is irritating me. I figured that during Phil's explanation about how many legs were elimination that they would have to have a week with two. I just didn't expect it to be the first one. So uncool.

I didn't care for the 17 year old hitting on House either. I guess this will play out next week.

I too loved Barney being squicked by the coupley stuff.

I'd noticed that you hadn't mentioned the Amazing Race and had wondered if you weren't watching it this year. So yay! I'm glad you are! The diversity is very awesome and makes me so happy. No one is irritating me either, although I'm worried that Rob & Kimberly may (based on the previews). And having such an early elimination totally sucked!!

Yeah, I'm hoping they'll do something interesting with the whole 17 year old thing.

I heart Barney so much!! *g*

Excellent music, it really drew me and got me excited about the show.

This made me grin because I had to dig out my Bowie's Greatest Hits CD today after watching the pilot a second time. Mike and I usually watch together over meals but he had to leave to teach and I couldn't stop watching, so I saw it again today. I was really jazzed by the writing. I agree with the criticisms about Peet's character but I thought the rest was really engaging. What a great bunch of people they got together for the pilot. Even if the show goes downhill from here I think they an opening worth watching on its own.

the clips from Even Stephens last nightHow much fun was that! I'd never seen a bunch of those before and it was hilarious. I was just waiting for the icons to start appearing today ( ... )

Yay for digging out your Bowie CD! The Studio 60 pilot is definitely excellent - and totally worth watching twice!! I continue to be impressed by the cast (as you'll note from me saying that twice in my post!).

I hadn't seen a bunch of those Even Stephens, so I enjoyed getting to see them. I haven't seen any icons yet, but I'm sure there are some!

It's funny to completely agree with the judges isn't it? Camisha predicted everything that the judges said when she was explaining what was wrong with Mario's performance to me. I admit to not knowing enough about dancing to know what Mario shouldn't have done without being told. Yeah, the women didn't shine that much for either, although like you I enjoyed Vivica's sass! *g*

This is really just a drive-by hi, but I had to add "Yay for Studio 60 and HIMYM!" Monday night was such a wonderful, wonderful night. And with CSI and Grey's coming back tonight, well, there's really nothing more I could ask for.

Hi! Hi! Lovely to see you around again!!

Studio 60 & HIMYM are definitely making Monday a good TV night. And there's so many shows that I love on Thursdays! I'm not a big CSI fan which is probably good because I'm already watching Grey's, My Name is Earl, The Office, Smallville and Supernatural. And wasn't Grey's excellent last night?! I'm not sure if other people enjoyed it but I really did. *g*
