I hear it's like watching a video with a bunch of strangers and a sticky floor. (btvs 5:11)

My weekend was very relaxing!! There was probably too much ice cream and chocolate consumed, and not enough exercising but I’ve decided not to worry about it!! That’s for tomorrow’s cordelianne to deal with.

I’m now completely caught up on Lost and Smallville (I was 3 weeks behind on both shows). I adore my PVR (like a Tivo), but it’s bad in situations when ( Read more... )

It screws over everyone who has a Tivo-type machine and people who programme their VCRs to stop at the hour.

I HATE that! And Lost is the worst about it. I had had my DVR set to take 5 extra minutes at the end of it, but I changed it because I couldn't record something else. So I missed the very end.

Lost is the worst! I wonder if this is part of ABC's conspiracy to get us to buy the iTunes download the next day as well as pay for cable, Tivo/DVR etc. Note that my brain jumped to a conspiracy theory when thinking about Lost?! hee!

And the last few minutes of last week's episode were very tense, it would have been nice to actually see the expression on Henry Gale's face when he was being all potentially ominous.

I love your TV show/movie posts because they are just like my conversations with RL friends. You bring the good.

It sucks that you missed the last few minutes of Lost, because the way the lines were delivered was creepy as hell. ::shivers::

Hee. You and your Amanda Bynes love is cute. What trailer did you cry at?

Yay! I'm glad you enjoy the posts. I LOVE to talk about tv and movies, and I tend to be on the positive side. It's neat that you and your friends do that too!

You bring the good. Thanks! I'd describe you that way as well!!

It sucks that you missed the last few minutes of Lost, because the way the lines were delivered was creepy as hell. ::shivers:: He was right in the middle of the creepy speech when the recording stopped so I was like "Ahh!" and flailed around for a second. I rushed online and found that I'd only missed a sentence or two but still it ruined the scene.

Hee. You and your Amanda Bynes love is cute. What trailer did you cry at? I'm glad you think it's cute! I was on the verge of crying at the trailer for Akeelah and the Bee: "A young girl from South Los Angeles tries to make it to the National Spelling Bee." (Laurence Fishburne stars in it as her coach.) They kept showing clips about her learning to not be afraid of her own power, and about how smart she is. That kind of inspirational story makes me all mushy.

I saw that one too and it looks soooo good. I can't wait to see it. I love inspirational stories too, and for some reason spelling bee ones as well. :D Hee. The documentary, Spellbound, was the cutest thing ever.

I'm glad you saw that preview! I'm excited about seeing the movie too because it looks like it'll be good. I think the spelling bee stories appeal to my love of inspirational stories AND to my geekiness! Sadly, I haven't seen Spellbound yet but it's on my list of movies to see.

That's excellent! It's a very fun movie. Just as a disclaimer (since I tend to over-emphasize the positive), it's not the most brilliant movie, and we did laugh AT some of the dialogue. I went into it expecting silliness, so had a great time. However it is overall good fluffy fun.

Oh, I'm not one of those going into teen movies with high expectations. My attitude allows me to be pleasantly surprised, from time to time. And even if I'm not, I'm still easily entertained.

Oh good, good. I got a little worried that you'd see the movie, and then wonder: "What is cordelianne on?!" I'm also easily entertained and had a blast watching this movie, so you should be fine!
