I don't even know if anyone is here, but I need a quick place to post a recipe that can be put onto Pinterest, so here I am.

I've been thinking about maybe writing here again, but not now.

I'm still here too, and this sounds delicious! I've never noticed spicy flavors in the Thai Iced Teas that I've had before. Would be interesting to try! :)

The spice is definitely there! It just all melds together. This is definitely the closest I've come to replicating the real deal.

It sucks because reading about it made me realise that the stuff I get in Thai restaurants all has dye in it. Ew!

This is so timely. Last week I was in an Asian grocery store looking for loose Thai tea and bemoaning the fact that it all had dye in it. Thanks!

Yeah, it's really weird. My friend who lived in Thailand for a while said that the tea over there doesn't have dye in it. I think it's because they can use less expensive tea but still have the same orange color effect. Strange.

The coconut sugar is a big part of the flavor profile! Regular sugar just wouldn't be as good. You can omit the orange flower water if you want but we really liked the flavor it imparts. We made this a few times without the orange flower water and it was good, but not quite as complex.
