Ooh an intriguing meld of canon and speculative AU that has me pondering - where is Dean in this scenario? What gave Sam that scar and what is going to happen next? Loved the relaxed pace of this - the slow build of a relationship that still feels kind of inevitable...

Ee! So glad you liked it. I do have ideas about the rest of it, where Dean is and how they all got there. But mostly I just wanted Sam & Kevin to find each other at Stanford, because I liked the image.

Yay! My first thought with the prompt was something with Smith & Wesson, but I couldn't make it work. And then I had this image of Kevin finding Sam at college, and finding something solid in amongst the craziness of college life. So glad the atmosphere worked for you.

You know, I always think I'm not with the Sam/Kevin, until I read a Sam/Kevin, and remember how much I like it. This one, I *loved*! Oh man, Librarian Sam with all this mysterious backstory, and poor Kevin, reacting to school exactly the same way as he did to the tablets--that's just Kevin, he *would* have been this way in a normal life, right?

I liked the way that Sam was so kind to Kevin and the way Kevin soaked it up like a little flower. And the sex--awww. Just lovely. *happysigh*

and I'm trying not to wonder where Dean was.
