Like everyone else in SPN fandom my friend and I are having trouble understanding any aspect of Sam this season. She made the point that last season, we had a SOULLESS Sam that watched Dean with Lisa and stayed with him for no other reason other than it was Dean. But season8!Sam doesn’t bother to look for Dean for a whole year?!?!?! IT DOESN’T MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL!!!

It's true! LOL. Even soulless!Sam was obsessed with Dean :) And you could tell right away that there was something really off about Sam in S6, but now I just can't figure it out.

I'm going to hold out for something that explains Sam's behavior. I have to. It's really the only reason I'm still watching.

Because if there is no explanation? If he really didn't look for Dean for no reason except "We promised each other we wouldn't" (to which I ask Carver, "What show have YOU been watching?")? Then I think I'm done. And I really don't want to be :(

I hope there is! I really do. And it doesn't have to be a big thing. Even just a flashback which makes it clear that Sam really did think Dean was dead, permanently, I could buy. I don't want to be done either :(

And I'm certainly not done with SPN fandom, even if I do stop watching canon at some point. But I really don't want to!

Yes, this! Honestly, I'm on the "He had a total breakdown" bandwagon. Because something just seems... off about Sam and yeah, it could just be the writing, but I don't think so. Jared plays things with intent.

Me neither! All of you guys are too awesome to be done with fandom :)

Excellent, excellent thoughts. A lot of truth here resonates with me. And heh, yes, this sums it up for me too: I'm still going to keep watching, because I can't leave a book unfinished, and I still love their faaaaaces
