Emder's game is one of my favourite books ever, and speaker for the dead is also great - the other two aren't quite as awesome, imo.

I'm a huge fan of OSC's fiction - Enhcantment is an awesome adaptation of sleeping beauty and one I read many times, and I enjoyed what I read of the Alvin maker series etc. He's a fantastic writer. But, word of advice - don't read his essays, you'll be very disappointed in his beliefs. :(

Well, he's bigoted and in particular very homophobic. Not what I expected.
